New Callback and TravelCard rates … effective March 1, 2006!
We’ve been working with our carriers – Sprint, AT&T, and MCI – for the past two months on new, improved rates, particulary to and from our most important market, the Republic of Mexico. The challenge has been maintaining the crystal-clear quality that our clients are accustomed to, yet at a per-minute rate that is competitive with lesser-quality carriers. The one thing that we will not do is come to our most important markets with an inferior product.
Following is a listing of our new callback rates, from Mexico to some of the more popular worldwide destinations:

Access IP: Dial direct for as little as .11 per minute – U.S., Canada, and Europe
International direct-dial service for our broadband (cable or DSL) clients is now available from Access.Net. In both phone-to-phone and computer-to-phone configurations. Our phone-to-phone service uses a simple phone adapter, that plugs into your broadband internet connection. It arrives completely programmed, and ready to go, with or without an internal router.
Compared to ‘similar’ IP services available, here’s why Access IP is different:
- All other IP hardware works only on the issuer’s system. And it’s non-returnable. So if for any reason you don’t like their customer service or their quality, you’re stuck.
- All other IP services use the public internet for the entire call, from origin to switch to destination. Access IP eliminates half the internet trip, by routing the call at our switch to Tier 1 international carriers. The result: quality you can hear.
- Our client base is international. And our service is as well – with greater band width necessary for clear international calls, and without disclaimers that suggest that if you use our service outside the United States that you do so at your own risk. Access IP was developed by an international telcom provider for the international community.
- Access IP is unique in that there are no setup or disconnection fees, and no flat monthly charge regardless of usage. You pay only for what you use.
- And, unlike any other provider, you have a backup callback account, so that you’re always in contact, even in the event of an ISP outage.
Callback: the backbone of our business … since 1994
Ten years ago, Access was one of the very first pioneers in international telecommunications, offering a new way to dial around monopoly foreign telephone companies - a new service called “callback”. Today, the world has changed. The internet has revolutionized the way we communicate and access information. Personal computers have become commonplace. Cellular service has flourished. And everything is faster, less costly, and easier to use.
But the more things change, the more they remain the same. And that’s the case with Access callback. Although we today offer a breadth of services, including Access IP, our business continues to be largely about providing consistent quality and customer service to people who want something that’s simple, inexpensive, and always works.
Changes in our 800 services
> The prompt now asks for an “Account Code” - simply enter your PIN (or what was called your “Authorization Code”).
> If you already have Access’ callback service, you can now make calls from anywhere using the Access 800 Travel Card system - just by using the 8-digit Account Code associated with your callback number. (You can find it on your account home page on the web. Or contact your Access representative.) New callback accounts are automatically provisioned with this new, complimentary service.
